Alconix Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President & CEO: Hiroshi Teshirogi; hereinafter "Alconix") announces that, following its announcement on June 11, 2025, regarding a land acquisition plan for constructing a recycling facility within its group companies, it has now completed the acquisition of 17,700 square meters of land in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture, and obtained development permission under the City Planning Act.

■ Overview of the Project
The Alconix Group positions the resource circulation and recycling sector, which is seeing increasing social demand in recent years, as an important growth area where it can leverage its functional and technological strengths. The development of this new base is one of the expansion measures for the non-ferrous metal recycling business promoted in integration with the Aluminum & Copper Center, and it concretizes the "Realization of a circular society through the expansion and nationwide deployment of recycling centers," which is a group action plan under the Long-Term Management Plan 2030.

On March 11, 2026, Alconix signed an agreement concerning the acquisition of the said land in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture, and obtained development permission under the City Planning Act. The registration of transfer of ownership is scheduled to be completed in early April 2026, and construction work is expected to start in April-May 2026, with completion anticipated within fiscal year 2026.

For the group company Aluminum & Copper Center Co., Ltd. (Hirakata City, Osaka, Representative Director and President: Junji Koshiba; hereinafter "Aluminum & Copper Center"), which will be in charge of on-site operations, this will be its third base following the Osaka Headquarters/Osaka Aluminum Center and the Kitakyushu Branch/Inada Copper Center.

■ Background and Objectives of the Project
In Japan in recent years, against the backdrop of rising geopolitical risks and demands for decarbonization, the importance of creating mechanisms to circulate resources domestically has grown. Legislative and institutional frameworks, such as the revised Act on the Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources enacted on April 1, 2026, are being advanced to support the utilization of recycled resources and the recycling of raw materials, and social demands for the realization of a circular economy are strengthening further. Under these circumstances, the Alconix Group is moving forward with the development of bases that support the domestic circulation of non-ferrous metal resources. By investing in the infrastructure functions of collecting, sorting, and storing non-ferrous metal scrap, we will contribute to the strengthening of a stable supply base for critical resources, in addition to promoting decarbonization and reducing environmental impact. In particular, the Kanto area is a major generation site for non-ferrous metal scrap, and potential customers such as aluminum-related manufacturers have bases around Hanyu City, where the site is being prepared. Therefore, we decided to develop this site to strategically strengthen our recycling business in the East Japan area.
Furthermore, in developing and operating the site, we are collaborating with the administration in accordance with Saitama Prefecture's "Ordinance on the Regulation of Outdoor Storage Business of Specified Recycled Resources in Saitama Prefecture" (Saitama Prefecture Yard Ordinance) to ensure compliance with the prefecture's rules for the construction and operation of yards. Additionally, by working to create mechanisms for responsible procurement utilizing the Alconix Group's information infrastructure, we are developing a recycling base where future business partners can procure with peace of mind.
