Akippa to Handle Official Parking and Paid Seating Reservations for the 22nd Shimanto Citizen Festival Summer Fireworks Festival

akippa Inc. (CEO: Genki Kanaya), which operates the parking marketplace "akippa," has decided to handle reservations for official parking and paid seating at the "22nd Shimanto Citizen Festival Summer Fireworks Festival" to be held in Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture on August 29, 2026 (Sat), continuing from last year.

Reservations will begin on July 1, 2026 (Wed) at 12:00 PM.

By making official parking and paid seating available through advance reservations for this event, we aim to create an environment where attendees can visit with peace of mind on the day of the event, and to alleviate surrounding traffic congestion by promoting traffic dispersion.

Through parking management at events nationwide, akippa strives to support smooth transportation and contribute to solving local traffic issues.

The "22nd Shimanto Citizen Festival Summer Fireworks Festival" is a summer tradition in Shimanto City, held at the Shimanto River Festival Plaza in Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture.

However, due to the large number of visitors each year, parking shortages, traffic congestion on surrounding roads, and the resulting burden on event organizers have been major challenges. To resolve these traffic and operational issues, akippa has decided to be in charge of accepting reservations for official parking and seating on a "paid, advance reservation basis," as it did last year. (※)

This year, two parking locations and six seating areas will be available for advance reservation through akippa.

By making parking available through advance reservations again this year, we aim to reduce circling for parking and alleviate traffic congestion. Furthermore, by allowing advance reservations for seating, attendees will not need to secure spots on the day and can enjoy the fireworks at their leisure with peace of mind.

In addition, by charging for parking and seating, we will secure financial resources, contributing to the sustainable holding of the fireworks festival.

As a "problem-solving company," we will continue to collaborate with municipalities and event organizers nationwide to address various parking issues. Through parking, we will help connect people with people and people with experiences, supporting the creation of real-life "meetups."

A parking marketplace. It allows users to easily rent out unused spaces in monthly parking lots, private garages, vacant lots, and commercial facilities as hourly parking spaces via smartphone.
