akippa Inc. (CEO: Genki Kanaya), which operates the parking marketplace "akippa (akippa)", has decided to manage official parking for the "57th Tokai Festival Fireworks Competition" to be held in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture on August 8, 2026 (Sat). Reservations will begin on July 1 (Wed).

By offering paid, advance-reservation parking spaces around the venue for this event, we aim to create a secure environment for attendees and alleviate local traffic congestion on the day of the event.

Furthermore, parking revenue will be utilized as a new source of funding to support the sustainable operation of this historic festival.

Through its parking management services at events nationwide, akippa strives to support smooth transportation and contribute to solving local traffic issues.

The "Tokai Festival Fireworks Competition" has been held annually since the year after Tokai City was founded, and is a representative event that has walked alongside the city's history. This major summer event features approximately 4,000 fireworks, including starmines and large ball shells, and can be enjoyed from anywhere in the surrounding area as it is held in the city center. Every year, many people from within and outside the city visit to see the fireworks reflected on the large pond and the powerful "Great Starmine" that marks the climax.

However, traffic restrictions are implemented every year, and congestion on surrounding roads has become a challenge. Temporary parking for the fireworks festival and nearby coin parking lots fill up quickly, leading to recommendations to use public transportation. This has resulted in circling vehicles searching for parking and congestion while waiting to enter parking lots.

To resolve these traffic problems, it has been decided that akippa will introduce official parking management on a "paid, advance reservation basis" starting this year.

By allowing advance reservation and payment for parking, attendees will not need to search for parking upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and stress-free access. This is expected to reduce congestion and crowding around the venue, promoting traffic dispersion throughout the area.

Additionally, by utilizing the new revenue generated from paid parking as operational funds for the event, we will secure financial resources and contribute to building a sustainable operational structure that preserves the historic local tradition for the future.

akippa will leverage its experience in official parking management, such as at the "Toyota Oiden Matsuri" (※) in Aichi Prefecture since 2024, to support the smooth operation of this festival.

As a "problem-solving company," we will continue to collaborate with municipalities and event organizers nationwide to address various parking issues. Through our advance reservation system for parking, we aim to facilitate connections for many people to meet in person.
