AKANE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Higashikagawa City, Kagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Tetsuya Yamada; hereinafter “AKANE”) has officially commenced the 'Fiscal Year 2026 Specified Skilled Worker Acceptance Program in Collaboration with Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower' commissioned by Kagawa Prefecture.

This initiative is an official project established under a memorandum of understanding between Kagawa Prefecture and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, designed to address the severe labor shortages faced by local SMEs and individual business owners.

AKANE will work closely with its local partner, PT BREXA Raya Indonesia (subsidiary: PT BREXA TALENT INDONESIA), to provide end-to-end support—from training talented Indonesian workers and assisting with complex administrative procedures to post-employment settlement support. This comprehensive, one-stop support system ensures even businesses hiring foreign workers for the first time can participate with confidence, contributing to the sustainable development of the regional economy. (Contract signed: June 8, 2026)

Background of the Initiative | Strong Support from Kagawa Prefecture and the Indonesian Government

Across Japan’s regional cities, the declining working-age population has become a critical issue. In Kagawa Prefecture, core industries such as nursing care, manufacturing, and agriculture are urgently in need of workforce solutions.

As competition for labor intensifies, there is growing demand for high-quality reception systems that make regions and companies more attractive to workers.

In response, Kagawa Prefecture has strengthened comprehensive cooperation with Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower. This official project was launched through public-private collaboration to eliminate risks and concerns for local companies and individual entrepreneurs entering foreign employment for the first time—such as language barriers, complex procedures, and cultural differences—and to achieve stable, long-term employment placements.

Four Steps to Acceptance | End-to-End Support from Indonesia to Japan

This program goes beyond simple 'job placement.' Kagawa Prefecture and AKANE jointly support every stage—from pre-departure training in Indonesia to daily life adaptation in Japan.

Call for Host Companies

The project is now accepting applications from companies in Kagawa Prefecture willing to host Indonesian workers who have completed training in Indonesia. Additionally, Kagawa Prefecture’s Department of Commerce, Industry, and Labor will host an 'Information Seminar on Acceptance' in July to clearly explain the program details and best practices for hiring foreign workers. Companies considering participation are encouraged to attend.
