A 5-piece assortment in collaboration with Mijumaru.
Akafuku Co., Ltd. (Ise City, Mie Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Tomoe Hamada) will launch a new regional product, "Pearl Salt and Owase Natsumikan Mochi Mie Prefecture x Mijumaru Ver.," in collaboration with Mie's supporting Pokémon "Mijumaru" through its Japanese and Western confectionery brand "Isuzu Chaya."
This product is a special project commemorating the 150th anniversary of Mie Prefecture's establishment. It is an assortment of two types of ankoromochi: one made with "pearl salt" produced from seawater in Minamiise Town, and another with a refreshing aroma, made with special peel from Mie Prefecture's "Owase Natsumikan" mixed into the anko. This 5-piece assortment allows you to enjoy two different flavors. Sales will begin sequentially on July 4, 2026 (Saturday).
The "San" series from Isuzu Chaya utilizes Akafuku's long-cultivated "anko" (sweet bean paste) techniques, combining it with ingredients such as fruits and chocolate to express the depth and flavor of "anko" in a new form as mochi confectionery.
Design package featuring Mie's supporting Pokémon "Mijumaru," inspired by the sea of Mie and using pearl salt and Owase Natsumikan peel.
In this product, based on the "sea" and "water" imagery, reflecting that Mijumaru, appointed as Mie's supporting Pokémon, is a "water-type" Pokémon and that Mie Prefecture is blessed with coastal resources, we have expressed Mie's nature and climate through mochi confectionery.
"Pearl Salt" uses salt carefully made from seawater drawn from Minamiise Town. It is characterized by its subtle saltiness and mellow, gentle flavor. The ankoromochi is shaped into balls, resembling pearls.
"Owase Natsumikan Mochi" is an ankoromochi mixed with peel from Mie Prefecture's Owase Natsumikan, offering a refreshing aroma, balanced acidity, and a slightly bitter taste.
This product allows you to enjoy the rich blessings of Mie's nature, the sea and the sun, together with the bright and energetic Mijumaru.
It will be sold at some directly managed stores within the prefecture and at Mie Terrace, as a confectionery that allows you to feel the charm of Mie up close, as well as a souvenir for sightseeing or returning home.

●About the Product
The "San" series is a mochi confectionery series that focuses on ingredients grown under sunlight, such as strawberries, cacao, and chestnuts, with the flavor and depth of "anko" as the main feature.
Based on the "anko" techniques cultivated in Japanese confectionery making, we propose new flavors by combining Japanese and Western ingredients.
●About "Pokémon Local Acts"
Since April 2018, The Pokémon Company has been collaborating with various prefectures (Hokkaido, Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, Fukui, Mie, Tottori, Kagawa, Kochi, Nagasaki, Miyazaki, and Okinawa) on various initiatives under the "Pokémon Local Acts" program, where the usage fees for Pokémon are waived. "Pokémon Local Acts" aims to increase fans of both regions and individual Pokémon by selecting a "champion Pokémon" for each region and simultaneously promoting the charm of each area and each Pokémon both domestically and internationally.

●About Mie's Supporting Pokémon "Mijumaru"
A "water-type" Pokémon classified as the "Raccoon Pokémon," appearing in the "Pokémon" game series. It was appointed as Mie's supporting Pokémon through a comprehensive partnership agreement between Mie Prefecture and The Pokémon Company. The reason for its selection is that "Mie" can also be read as "Miju," which has an affinity with the name "Mijumaru," and Mijumaru has a characteristic "shield" on its stomach that resembles a shell. Mie Prefecture is blessed with seafood such as pearl oysters (Akoya shells) and oysters, making Mijumaru a perfect Pokémon to promote and support Mie Prefecture. The selection was made with the hope that people will discover the charms of Mie Prefecture together with Mijumaru.
