Akachan Honpo to Launch Joie Signature’s First Japan Series on May 29, Including New Stroller and Child Car Seat Models

Akachan Honpo announced that it will begin selling six products from the British-born baby goods brand Joie Signature at Akachan Honpo stores nationwide in Japan and through its online shop from May 29, 2026. The lineup marks Joie Signature’s first full series rollout in Japan and includes the latest first stroller model, elipto™, the child car seat i-Harbour™, and other junior seats. Joie Signature is a premium line loved worldwide for its refined, timeless design and dependable quality. Featuring neutral-toned fabrics and delicate details, the lineup maintains Joie’s focus on safety and ease of use while aligning with the values of Japanese families. The new elipto™ stroller is designed as a long-use first stroller, with a spacious seat suitable from newborns up to 22 kg, around four years old. Its solid straight-frame structure offers smooth handling and stable travel, while large wheels and suspension help it overcome bumps. The adjustable handle angle supports comfortable operation for parents of different heights. A full mesh seat using breathable CloudAir™ material helps keep babies comfortable even in midsummer, while four recline positions and a two-stage footrest support long-term use. The stroller also includes a large 58-liter storage basket accessible from both front and back, plus accessories such as a cup holder and rain cover. The price is 69,000 yen, or 75,900 yen including tax, with Sandstone, Maple, and Evergreen color options. The new i-Harbour™ child car seat, paired with the i-Base™ Encore, combines safety, comfort, and easy installation. It features a safety design highly rated in ADAC testing and a four-layer protection structure with Side Impact Protection Pod technology. The 360-degree rotating seat makes daily loading and unloading easier, while the detachable ISOFIX base and seat unit reduce installation burden. A five-position recline helps secure a comfortable position for the child, the CloudAir™ mesh seat improves breathability, and the canopy protects the baby from sunlight. The price is 74,000 yen, or 81,400 yen including tax, with Eclipse and Ebony color options.
