(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeo Nakamura), which supports the physical and mental conditioning of TEAM JAPAN, co-hosted the 'Wataru Morishige Kachimeshi® Talk Show' on March 20, 2026 (Friday) at 'TEAM JAPAN 2020 VILLAGE' within Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport HARUMI FLAG.
This event was held as part of the WANGAN ACTION project led by Mitsui Fudosan Residential, aimed at revitalizing the Tokyo waterfront area (Kachidoki, Tsukishima, Toyomi, Harumi, Toyosu, etc.). By utilizing 'TEAM JAPAN 2020 VILLAGE,' which was opened through the cooperation of Mitsui Fudosan Residential and the JOC at the site of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Village, the event served to convey the values of the Olympics and sports, contributing to the promotion of 'community development utilizing the power of sports' in the Tokyo waterfront area.
The event was linked to the 'Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics TEAM JAPAN Support Fair' held by the three parties until February 28 (Saturday), and approximately 30 people participated in the 'Kachimeshi®' talk show.
At the beginning of the event, speed skater Wataru Morishige appeared and greeted the audience, saying, 'Thank you very much for all your support during the Olympics.' Following this, the 'Kachimeshi®' talk show with Ajinomoto Co., Inc. was held. While reflecting on meals and nutritional support at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, participants learned about the importance of food and nutrition in sports and the points athletes pay attention to. Participants showed great interest in the behind-the-scenes stories and the eating habits of athletes that are not usually seen.
Furthermore, elementary and junior high school students, along with their parents, learned techniques for easily practicing 'Kachimeshi®' at home, such as what to be careful about in their daily meals and what kind of food is best to eat.
During the guest talk session after the 'Kachimeshi®' talk show, Morishige spoke about his 'childhood encounter with speed skating' and his 'thoughts on this Olympics and his enthusiasm for the next Olympics,' which the participants listened to with great interest. During the Q&A session, questions such as 'How do you spend your time before a match, and do you interact with other athletes?' were asked. Morishige left a strong impression as he shared his experiences from the Olympics, saying, 'I relaxed my nerves while communicating with the skating team and focused on the competition.' Afterward, participants enjoyed interacting with Morishige through a lottery for signed goods and a commemorative photo session.
Finally, Morishige concluded the event by saying, 'I would be happy if this event made you even a little more interested in winter sports. Please continue to support us.'
