Aizawa Securities Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takuya Aizawa; hereinafter "the Company") will host a web seminar (hereinafter "the Seminar") on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to explain the structural changes observed in South Korea's semiconductor industry and memory companies.
In 2025, the global semiconductor market reached 795.6 billion USD, approaching 800 billion USD, marking a 26.2% year-on-year increase and setting a new record high. According to the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS, Spring 2026 Forecast), the semiconductor market is projected to reach approximately 1.5112 trillion USD in 2026—an increase of about 90% from the previous year—driven by aggressive data center investments from major IT companies.
Amid rapidly increasing demand for memory as a core strategic asset for AI infrastructure, long-term contracts between U.S. hyperscalers and major memory manufacturers are expected to fully take effect in the second half of 2026. This is likely to result in severe supply shortages for both DRAM and NAND heading into 2027.
Against this backdrop of structural transformation, significant re-rating may occur for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and related companies, whose demand is expanding in AI and data center applications.
For this seminar, Mr. Son Injun (Son In-jun), a semiconductor analyst at Yu Jin Investment & Securities, a South Korean securities firm, will speak and provide detailed insights into the structural changes among Korean memory and semiconductor-related companies, the reasons behind valuation re-evaluation, and the competitive landscape.
