AItegrity Lectures on Data Science in the Age of AI at Nagahama Institute of Bio-Science and Technology

(Headquarters: Shiki City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director: Futoshi Taga) conducted lectures on "Data Science" for approximately 60 second-year students from science departments at Nagahama Institute of Bio-Science and Technology (Location: Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture) on June 16 and 23, 2026.

The lectures were led by Futoshi Taga, representative of AItegrity Inc., specializing in SAP and AI. The objective was to convey fundamental knowledge of data analysis essential in the age of AI, understanding the role of data in society and industry, and the profile of human resources required in the AI era.

Training Data and Annotation Explained that annotation and labeling are crucial processes supporting the accuracy of generative AI and image recognition AI.

Bias and Data Quality Discussed the impact of biased data on AI judgment and the concept of data quality for achieving reliable AI.

Data Science and Statistical Theory Lectured on experimental design, linear models, Bayesian inference, etc., using intuitive examples such as the probability of life's origin and the relationship between soccer shot position and scoring rate.

Profile of Human Resources Required in the AI Era Considering the singularity, explored the importance of individuals who can not only use AI but also understand data, and evaluate/utilize AI.

Additionally, training data used in actual autonomous driving AI was introduced as teaching material, and the process from data collection to annotation and AI learning was explained with practical examples. The lectures, which connected theory with practice, allowed students to realize the social value of data science.
