"Honopia" is a project that creates entrances to diverse connections by combining online broadcasting, individual consultations, and face-to-face interactions for families of children and people requiring medical care, as well as those with severe mental and physical disabilities. In FY2025 (Reiwa 7), we conducted 120 consultations, 74 live streams, and 3 face-to-face exchange events, creating 31 new pairs of connections.

While systems and support resources are gradually being established, this project has materialized support contact points centered on peer support utilizing the empirical knowledge of families, addressing the reality that families often find it difficult to connect with the necessary information and people in practice. We implemented peer support, where families with the same standpoints and experiences support each other, in diverse formats by linking it with information dissemination, consultation, and exchange functions.

Online Broadcasting: Forming an entrance that can be continuously accessed
In FY2025 (Reiwa 7), we built and published the portal site "Honopia" to continuously disseminate information.

As of March 23, 2026, we posted the "Notice for the 73rd and 74th Live Streams", having announced and conducted 74 live streams within the fiscal year.

The broadcast themes were aligned with the actual interests of families, such as daily life, future paths, employment, sibling support, and life after discharge. Topics included "Bragging about everyone's ingenuity", "Future institutionalization?", "Were you able to return to work? Balancing with work", "How do you face siblings?", and "The first discharge from NICU/ward".

The Instagram account "@hono.peer" has 85 posts and 439 followers as of March 27, 2026, functioning as a continuous information touchpoint.
