AI Storm Inc. (formerly Jexceed Co., Ltd., Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Toshio Imai; Securities Code: 3719), in collaboration with the Non-Profit Organization MCEI Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as MCEI Tokyo), held the first of a three-part series of "AI Utilization Consulting Sessions" on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at MCEI Tokyo's branch office in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
◆ Background
While the speed of AI technology evolution is accelerating at an unprecedented pace, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry estimates that Japan will face a shortage of up to approximately 790,000 IT professionals by 2030. In the field of AI utilization, stagnation is widely observed, with companies struggling to determine "where to start" or finding that "PoC (Proof of Concept) implementation doesn't lead to business integration." This is a serious issue directly eroding the competitiveness of Japanese companies.
AI Storm, as a company strong in implementing AI at the operational level, launched these consulting sessions to directly address this stagnation. We are committed to breaking through the AI barrier together with participating companies.
◆ Theme of the First Session
The first session was conducted as a "Problem Discovery x AI Utilization Idea Generation Workshop (Current Situation Assessment Phase)." The main focus was to thoroughly re-evaluate "how to connect AI to business results" rather than merely "what to do with AI."
◆ Event Overview
The first session began with sharing AI utilization case studies, followed by one-on-one dialogues with each company, connecting their operational pain points to concrete AI utilization ideas.
The consultants were Toshio Imai, President and Representative Director of AI Storm, and Hiroyuki Shindo, Chief Data Scientist. Dr. Shindo, who obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, is a top data scientist who has successfully led numerous corporate DX and AI projects both domestically and internationally. They addressed the challenges of participating companies from both management and technical perspectives.
The discussions revealed a common challenge even among participating listed companies: the inability to fully leverage AI in an organized manner. While DX is progressing to improve operational efficiency, the reality is that few companies are seriously committed to connecting AI to business outcomes.
The first session began with this awareness, where Dr. Shindo shared examples of new service development in various industries, leading to discussions aimed at finding breakthroughs. In the relaxed atmosphere unique to a small group setting, the discussions progressed to serious content focused on implementation.
◆ Future Plans
The second session is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2026. This session is positioned as a "Design Phase," further deepening the point identified in the first session—"connecting AI to business results"—and translating the generated ideas into "feasible projects," including organizing KPIs, necessary data, operational man-hours, and setting KGIs.
The third session, a "Execution → Improvement Phase" for reviewing execution results and formulating improvement plans, is currently being scheduled. AI Storm will provide comprehensive support, from current situation assessment to design, execution, and improvement, pushing participating companies' AI utilization towards implementation that works from tomorrow.
◆ Connection to Medium-Term Vision
AI Storm has set a medium-to-long-term goal of achieving a market capitalization of 50 billion yen. This figure represents a future that will materialize not from our company's solitary growth, but as a result of consistently accompanying and empowering companies seriously committed to AI utilization, one by one.
These consulting sessions serve as the initial point of contact. When participating companies operate AI on-site and generate business results—that continuous connection will be AI Storm's competitive strength and the driving force propelling us towards the 50 billion yen milestone. We will steadily and powerfully accelerate towards a future that we will surely achieve.
