About Midori GX Lab

Amid increasingly evident impacts of climate change, Midori GX Lab is a consortium hosted by Nihon Nogyo Shimbun aiming to reduce agriculture's environmental burden, achieve decarbonization, conserve biodiversity, and realize 'sustainable food and agriculture.'

Beyond farmers and agricultural organizations, the consortium brings together diverse stakeholders—including local governments, companies, researchers, students, and consumers—to solve challenges that cannot be addressed by production sites alone. Regular online seminars and member networking events are held, and initiatives such as the 'Midori GX Award' to recognize outstanding practices and on-site visits to leading farms help connect learning and community-building with real-world implementation. Participation is open to all.
