The Tosu Station East Area Utilization Challenge Project Executive Committee (comprising Saga Prefecture, Tosu City, Sagan Dreams Co., Ltd., SAGA Hisamitsu Springs Co., Ltd., and the Tosu City Shopping Street Association) has announced a collaboration with Afro&Co., led by the renowned creator Afromance—known for hit events like Nōchin Yokochō and SAKURA CHILL BAR—to host the urban co-creation festival 'TOSU NESTIVAL 2026' on October 3 (Sat) and 4 (Sun), 2026, at the Stationfront Real Estate Stadium Lot 1 in Tosu, Saga Prefecture.

Launched in 2025, 'TOSU NESTIVAL' is a new urban festival centered around a massive bird’s nest installation inspired by the warbler, Tosu City’s official bird. It brings together diverse cultures such as music, food, sports, art, and urban exploration. The inaugural event attracted over 70,000 visitors, with approximately 40% coming from outside the prefecture, drawing people from across Tosu and beyond. For its second edition, 'TOSU NESTIVAL 2026' will deepen collaboration with local citizens, residents, and businesses to cultivate new charm and potential for Tosu as a co-creative urban festival.

This year, the iconic '10-meter-tall giant warbler and five 7-meter-tall eggs' installation will once again be visible from JR Tosu Station. During the two-day special event, visitors can enjoy interactive experiences such as the slide-equipped 'EGG SLIDER,' the ball pool 'EGG POOL,' and the bouncing experience 'EGG BOUNCE,' suitable for all ages. At night, the installation will be illuminated, revealing a magical, dreamlike atmosphere that changes from day to night.

Additional programs include the 'Nest Stage' featuring DJs and live performances, the 'Nest Market' with unique lifestyle and food vendors, sports experiences in collaboration with J.League’s 'Sagan Tosu' and SV.League’s 'SAGA Hisamitsu Springs,' and the 'Nest Park,' a new zone offering collaborative content with local enterprises.

Afromance (Real Name: RIchiro Nakama). Born March 7, 1985, in Kagoshima Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto University’s Department of Architecture. A creator, creative director, event producer, and DJ known for original entertainment projects.

Under the slogan 'More Excitement for the World,' he founded the creative company 'Afro&Co.,' launching popular projects such as the bubble-soaked experiential event 'Awappa,' the chill-out bar 'SAKURA CHILL BAR by Saga' buried under 1.2 million cherry blossom petals, and the glowing tram 'Magma Yakiimo Train' where visitors enjoy roasted sweet potatoes. His innovative events have gained widespread acclaim across generations and locations.
