Co-hosting of "Japan Post Insurance - Aflac Acceleration Program 2026"

April 10, 2026 Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. Aflac Life Insurance Japan Ltd. Aflac Ventures Japan Co., Ltd. Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Kunio Tanigaki, Director and President, CEO & Representative Executive Officer; hereinafter "Japan Post Insurance"), Aflac Life Insurance Japan Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Masatoshi Koide, President and Representative Director; hereinafter "Aflac Life"), and Aflac Ventures Japan Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Toshiro Seido, President and Representative Director) will co-host the "Japan Post Insurance - Aflac Acceleration Program 2026". Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Kazuyuki Negishi, Director and President, CEO & Representative Executive Officer), Japan Post Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Shinya Koike, President and CEO), Japan Post Insurance, and Aflac Life have continued to deepen their strategic partnership since 2007. Following the "strategic alliance based on capital ties" in 2018, they agreed in 2021 to further develop this alliance toward realizing the Japan Post Group's vision of a "co-creation platform supporting customers and local communities." In addition to selling cancer insurance, they are working on creating shared value through new collaborations and solving regional and social issues. As specific initiatives, Japan Post Insurance and Aflac Life launched the "Acceleration Program" in 2022 to collaborate with startups that possess innovation capabilities, aiming to respond to diversifying and complex customer needs and create new businesses. By co-hosting the "Japan Post Insurance - Aflac Acceleration Program 2026", they will further strengthen the partnership between the Japan Post Group and Aflac Life while creating new value through collaboration with startups possessing various ideas and technologies. This year, in addition to the five domains of healthcare, improvement of customer experience (CX), marketing & sales, AI/DX, and human capital, an "open recruitment" category with no specific domain has been launched to gather a wider range of ideas.
