Aflac Life Insurance Japan Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Masatoshi Koide) has been selected as a "Reiwa 7th Year Cancer Countermeasures Promotion Excellent Company" in the Cancer Countermeasures Promotion Excellent Company commendation system by the "Cancer Countermeasures Promotion Corporate Action" promoted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW). The company has been selected for six consecutive years since the Reiwa 2nd year when this commendation system was established.

The national project "Cancer Countermeasures Promotion Corporate Action" promoted by the MHLW has approximately 8,000 corporate and organizational promotion partners registered (as of the end of September 2025), and this commendation system selects companies that proactively engage in cancer countermeasures.

Since our founding with Japan's first cancer insurance in 1974, we have developed cancer awareness activities both inside and outside the company. From the inception of the "Cancer Countermeasures Promotion Corporate Action" in 2009, we have continued various initiatives as a promotion partner, including promoting cancer screenings for employees, and as a result, we maintain a high cancer screening rate. In addition, in 2018, aiming for a workplace where employees can "work with peace of mind and be themselves even if they get cancer or an illness," we established the "Cancer/Illness Employment Support Program" consisting of three pillars: "Consultation (Peer Support)," "Balance," and "Prevention." We have continuously evolved our activities, such as creating a workplace environment to balance work and treatment, and founding "All Ribbons," a community for employees who have experienced cancer.
