Aera Home to Exhibit at "Children's Disaster Prevention Festival 2026" to Provide Opportunities for Families to Think About Home Disaster Preparedness

Aera Home Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / President and Representative Director: Hideyuki Nakajima), with the corporate philosophy of "Creating a lifestyle loved across generations," will exhibit at the "Children's Disaster Prevention Festival 2026" (Organizer: ami seed) to be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Ami Town, Ibaraki Prefecture. At the venue, we will introduce disaster prevention technologies that protect homes and families from earthquakes and floods through hands-on exhibits where parents and children can see, touch, and learn.

In recent years, as concerns about the risks of floods due to typhoons and torrential rains, in addition to earthquakes, have been growing, the disaster prevention performance required of housing has become increasingly important. Through its participation in this event, Aera Home will clearly communicate to local children and their guardians that "housing" itself, which supports daily life, is the foundation of disaster prevention. We will also disseminate the concept of "Phase Free," which posits that a comfortable and secure home in normal times functions as a preparedness measure to protect the family during disasters.

Furthermore, Professor Haru Takahashi of Tokyo University of Science, with whom we are advancing a joint project, is scheduled to speak at this event. As awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation in housing increases, this will be an opportunity for visitors to consider home preparedness in a more accessible way.

1. Earthquake Countermeasures | MER SYSTEM × Highbest Wood

We will exhibit a seismic and vibration-damping structure that combines the vibration-damping damper "MER SYSTEM" with the structural material "Highbest Wood," which has high panel strength. We will clearly explain with actual examples how seismic energy is absorbed and dispersed to create a home that is resistant to repeated tremors.

2. Flood Countermeasures | Water Drainage System for Flood Damage Prevention

Amidst the increasing number of flood damage incidents caused by typhoons and torrential rains, we will exhibit a "Water Drainage System for Flood Damage Prevention" that suppresses water intrusion into homes. We will clearly explain the level of preparedness at the housing level against flood risks.
