AEON Co., Ltd. to Launch New Corporate English Training Course "AEON Spark English for Business" on July 1 (Wed.)

AEON Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Taku Shigeno, hereinafter "AEON"), which operates English conversation schools, has launched a new corporate course "AEON Spark English for Business." This course combines lessons by instructors from AEON's corporate English training program with "VoiceTube," an English learning app that utilizes the latest AI technology and videos.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, corporate English learning demand has rapidly shifted towards "online," "digitalization," and "AI utilization," leading to diversification in learning styles. However, e-learning and self-study with machines alone face challenges such as "decreased motivation," "difficulty in continuation," and "lack of practical practice," and are not yet a complete substitute for in-person lessons. Conversely, even in-person lessons, which offer high experiential value as a place for practice, have limitations in promoting continuous learning outside of lessons and providing opportunities for exposure to authentic English. Therefore, AEON's corporate English training has developed a new training program to provide optimal learning by integrating the convenience of e-learning, which allows for self-paced learning anytime, with the strengths of experiences that can only be gained through genuine lessons with professionals.

AEON is currently running a campaign offering "VoiceTube" for free as an option to companies that have introduced our dispatched English training program, starting from April 2026. Companies that have actually introduced "VoiceTube" have provided feedback such as "It helped maintain motivation," "It's good to be able to learn current English," and "It allows exposure to authentic English." Based on this feedback, we aim to solve companies' English learning challenges by leveraging AEON's track record and expertise in corporate English training to create a lesson curriculum that assumes self-study with "VoiceTube."

The lessons in this course specialize in "Summary," "Debate," and "Presentation," which are frequently used in business scenarios, and are combined with "Discussion" for each. Within the lessons, AEON will carefully select and handle topics suitable for "Summary," "Debate," and "Presentation" from VoiceTube's 100,000 videos. By using "VoiceTube" not only for lessons but also for self-study such as preparation and review, it becomes possible to efficiently acquire English skills as a business skill. All lessons are linked to the videos and training content on "VoiceTube," functioning as a practical application of what has been learned on the app beforehand.

"VoiceTube" is an English learning app that allows for audio learning with "authentic English x AI" using 100,000 YouTube videos. The app offers vocabulary learning, pronunciation correction, and audio training.

This service's feature is that it uses 12 carefully selected videos from "VoiceTube's" 100,000 videos for lessons, and as follows, the learning both during and around lessons is optimized for business professionals to acquire English skills.

*All videos other than the designated 12 can also be watched and trained for self-study.

In addition to one lesson per week, daily self-study on "VoiceTube" allows for individually optimized learning tailored to the user's interests, English proficiency, and output content.

(1) Learning in Lessons

Lessons by AEON's dedicated corporate English training instructors consist of three different types of lessons commonly found in business scenarios: "Summary & Discussion," "Debate & Discussion," and "Presentation & Discussion." All lessons are linked to the videos and training content on "VoiceTube" and function as a practical application of what has been learned on the app beforehand.

Instructors provide support to help learners develop the skill of speaking logically and structurally about abstract topics, assisting them in stepping up from being able to "have casual, short conversations" to being able to "speak structurally in business situations."

The limited time of 20 minutes is focused on what can only be done with a live instructor, assuming prior learning on "VoiceTube." This makes it ideal for business professionals who want to maximize their learning effectiveness within a limited time.

(2) Learning Before and After Lessons

In traditional lessons, input of authentic English has been left to the learner's discretion. With AEON Spark English for Business, learners can get input of "authentic English" by utilizing videos on "VoiceTube." "VoiceTube" offers various subtitle modes for video viewing, allowing even intermediate learners to comfortably watch news videos in social and business contexts, which can otherwise be challenging, as high-quality input. Additionally, excellent training menus are available, linked to the videos, including vocabulary learning, pronunciation correction, audio training, and AI chat. Learners can attend lessons with instructors after completing their preparation for output.
