(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Nobuyuki Fujiwara), which operates 97 "AEON CINEMA" theaters nationwide, will open "AEON CINEMA Hachioji Takiyama" (Tokyo), a cinema complex with 9 screens, including Hachioji City's first "IMAX Laser," on Friday, June 26, 2026. This theater will be established within the "AEON Hachioji Takiyama" commercial facility, which will open on the same day, and will deliver exciting daily experiences to the local community in a space that integrates cinema, food, and entertainment.

"AEON CINEMA Hachioji Takiyama" will introduce "IMAX Laser." "IMAX Laser" allows viewers to experience ultra-high-resolution images that are vivid, bright, and deeply contrasted on an IMAX large screen, thanks to its innovative 4K laser projection system. Furthermore, the latest 12-channel sound system achieves dynamic range and precision beyond previous standards. It fills the entire theater with immersive sound, leading audiences into the movie with an overwhelming sense of immersion. In addition, all 9 screens, including the IMAX theater, will adopt laser projectors. Viewers can enjoy bright, colorful, and high-contrast images on any screen.

Inside the theater, independent seats with armrests on both sides are introduced for all seats, creating a comfortable viewing environment that emphasizes personal space. The concession stand adopts a self-ordering system, enabling smoother ordering and product pickup with reduced waiting times. It also supports digital tickets, allowing ticket purchase to admission to be completed via smartphone, providing a highly convenient movie experience.
