AEON RETAIL to Offer Separated-Type Yukata for 40% of Women's Yukata Quantity

AEON RETAIL will begin a full-scale rollout of yukata and women's resort swimwear on July 1 (Wed.) at approximately 190 AEON and AEON STYLE stores*, as well as AEON STYLE ONLINE.

Yukata: Separated-type yukata to account for 40% of women's yukata quantity

As opportunities to experience traditional Japanese clothing decrease, more people are interested in yukata but don't know how to wear them. In response, we are making separated-type yukata, which are easy to put on, account for 40% of our women's yukata offerings. The silhouette when worn is the same as traditional yukata, they are easy to move in, and can be easily readjusted if they become disheveled.

Yukata "Ise-kata Skirt Yukata (Women's)" to Debut

In addition to the "One-piece Yukata," which consists of a top and a one-piece dress, we will also be selling the new "Ise-kata Skirt Yukata," which consists of a top and a skirt. The patterns are based on designs from Ise-katagami, a traditional stencil dyeing technique with over 100 years of history, and have been modernized.

Swimwear: Proposing resort swimwear for the summer leisure season

Swimwear: Expanding amphibious wear such as rash guards as a measure against the heat

We are proposing cool swimwear characterized by a healthy skin-baring feel and a vibrant, pop aesthetic. We are also expanding our offerings of amphibious wear with functions such as UV protection and cool-touch technology*2) by approximately 1.3 times compared to the previous year.
