We are pleased to announce that starting Thursday, June 11th, we will begin selling "small sardines," which herald the arrival of summer, at six "Aeon" and "Aeon Style" stores in Hiroshima Prefecture.
The "Small Sardine (Anchovy) Fishery" is widely known as a summer tradition of the Seto Inland Sea.
While "small sardines" are famous for local dishes such as "sashimi" and "tempura," processed products such as "Aki Iriko" and "Ondo Chirimen" (young anchovies) are known nationwide.
Aeon will be selling "small sardines" again this year, allowing customers to fully enjoy these seasonal fish. Furthermore, at Aeon Style Hiroshima Fuchu, we will cook the "small sardines" upon arrival and sell them as fried dishes.
Through the sale of "small sardines," Aeon will continue to promote the inheritance of Setouchi's seafood culture.
