AEON signs partnership agreement for Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games

AEON Co., Ltd. (President and CEO Akio Yoshida) has signed a partnership agreement with the Aichi-Nagoya Asian and Asian Para Games Organizing Committee (Chairman Hideaki Omura) on April 14, 2026, for the 20th Asian Games (2026/Aichi-Nagoya) and the 5th Asian Para Games (2026/Aichi-Nagoya), and held a signing ceremony today.

The Asian Games are the largest sporting event in Asia with a history dating back to the first edition in 1951. Currently organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the Games bring together approximately 15,000 athletes from 45 Asian countries and regions. The Asian Para Games, organized by the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC), are a multi-sport event for para-athletes in Asia with about 4,000 participants, held in the same host city as the Asian Games.

During the Games, AEON will provide and manage refreshments such as beverages and light meals, as well as beer, wine, and bottled water (limited to private brand products) for athletes and those supporting the Games.

In preparation for the Games, AEON will also foster excitement through original merchandise planning and events such as "AEON de Paraspo" held at its commercial facilities.

As a company originating from the Tokai region and deeply supported by the local community, AEON is sponsoring the 20th Asian Games and 5th Asian Para Games as a Tier 1 Prestige Partner. As a community-rooted enterprise, it will contribute to creating an environment where everyone can safely participate and spectate by serving as the infrastructure for "food and daily life" supporting the Games.
