Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture and AEON PET Co., Ltd. Conclude Partnership Agreement on Animal Welfare and Management

AEON PET Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Ichiro Yonetsu, hereinafter "AEON PET") will conclude a "Partnership Agreement on Animal Welfare and Management" with Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture (Mayor: Ko Tanaka) on Friday, April 10, 2026, with the aim of contributing to the promotion of animal welfare management and the rehoming of protected animals while closely cooperating with the city.

AEON PET is headquartered in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, and has built a close cooperative relationship with the city, having previously concluded disaster-related agreements regarding pet rescue activities and shelter management during disasters, and conducting joint disaster drills.

This new agreement will deepen the existing cooperation in disaster prevention and further establish a comprehensive cooperation system for overall animal welfare, including promoting the rehoming of protected animals and raising awareness of proper pet ownership during normal times.

Specifically, we will disseminate information on animal welfare from AEON PET stores in Ichikawa City and hold adoption events for protected cats by animal welfare organizations registered in Ichikawa City at AEON PET stores, thereby supporting rehoming activities to new families.
