Aeon Pet Commences Management of Sheltered Animals at Chiba City Animal Protection and Guidance Center

Aeon Pet and Chiba City have deepened their collaboration to enhance animal welfare and adoption efforts. Building upon the 'Agreement on Cooperation for the Adoption of Sheltered Dogs and Cats' signed in November 2022, Aeon Pet will now take over the management of animals at the Chiba City Animal Protection and Guidance Center.

Effective from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, Aeon Pet will be responsible for the following operations: - Husbandry and management of sheltered animals - Support for animal intake, return to owners, and adoption processes - Cleaning and disinfection of housing facilities - Daily inspections of HVAC systems in the housing units

The operations will be carried out by professional staff from Aeon Pet's 'Life House' adoption centers, including licensed veterinary technicians, groomers, and certified animal handlers. Since its inception in 2008, Life House has successfully facilitated the adoption of over 1,100 dogs and cats. By applying their expertise in socialization training and species-specific care, Aeon Pet aims to create more opportunities for sheltered animals to find permanent homes within the community.
