The Future of Housing Sales is Changing! Application for the New "ZEH Coordinator" Certification Exam for the New ZEH Era is Now Open!

The Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association (JEMA) will conduct the "ZEH Coordinator" certification exam in September 2026, as detailed below.

The Japanese government has declared its aim to achieve carbon neutrality (net-zero greenhouse gas emissions) by 2050. In the housing sector, efforts to realize a decarbonized society are promoting the spread of energy-saving homes such as ZEH (Net Zero Energy House). Consequently, ZEH-related systems are rapidly changing, including "GX-oriented housing introduction," "ZEH definition revision," and "mandatory energy conservation standards."

Amidst these changes, there is a renewed demand for professional personnel who can understand and practically apply these complex systems at the site level.

The "ZEH Coordinator" qualification system is newly launching to help cultivate precisely such personnel.

Application for the September 2026 "ZEH Coordinator" certification exam began on July 1 (Wed).

1) Application Acceptance Period

July 1, 2026 (Wed) 10:00 - August 10, 2026 (Mon) 23:59

2) Exam Period

September 1, 2026 (Tue) - September 14, 2026 (Mon)

3) About the CBT Method Exam

With the CBT method exam, applicants can freely choose their exam date, time, and location. Furthermore, changes (date, time, and location) can be made anytime up to 3 days before the scheduled exam date.

4) Exam Locations

CBT-exclusive testing centers: Over 300 locations nationwide

5) Exam Fee

14,000 yen (tax included, includes electronic textbook and web learning video viewing fees)

*The electronic textbook can be downloaded after payment of the exam fee. Web learning videos can be viewed from the time of payment until the end of the exam period. We recommend applying early to facilitate your studies.

Applications are accepted online through the My Page on the JEMA Certification Center website.
