This year, in 2026, 'Bonobono' celebrates the 40th anniversary of its serialization and the 10th anniversary of its TV anime broadcast. To commemorate this, today, April 2nd—the exact date the first anime episode aired in 2016—we have pre-opened the 40th serialization & 10th broadcast anniversary memorial site, 'Bonobono and the 40 Years'. While unravelling the memories of the journey 'Bonobono' has taken, we will express our gratitude to everyone who has supported and stood by us. Currently on the site, we are publishing a message and newly drawn illustrations from the author, Mikio Igarashi! Furthermore, starting today, a participatory project kicks off on the fan page, 'With Everyone'!
