adidas Japan K.K. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kohei Hagio) will launch a new basketball shoe, 'Crazy Energy Japan,' starting Wednesday, July 15.
'Crazy Energy Japan' is a special model based on the globally available 'Crazy Energy,' and is the first basketball shoe from adidas to feature the 'Japan Microfit Last'—a last uniquely developed for the Japanese market. Focusing on the fit and playing style desired by Japanese basketball players, this model adopts a dedicated design tailored to Japanese foot shapes. It supports the sharp, dynamic performance—'Kire'—required in modern basketball, such as fast-paced play and quick directional changes. Additionally, equipped with various technologies that enhance stability and propulsion during play, it integrates agility, responsiveness, and grip at a high level, supporting players' performance across all game situations.
For this model’s key visual, adidas has appointed Yuki Kawamura, who will become an adidas Japan brand ambassador transcending basketball starting July 2026. Alongside the powerful message 'Steal the Game,' the campaign will communicate the product’s appeal to basketball players nationwide.
'Crazy Energy Japan' will be available from July 15, 2026, at the adidas online store, the adidas app, and select adidas basketball retailers.

Yuki Kawamura’s Comment
“The moment I first put them on, I felt they fit my feet perfectly. After actually wearing and playing in them, not only is the fit excellent, but the outsole grip strongly supports lateral and vertical movements. I felt this is a shoe that truly brings out my full potential.”
“I also love the design—it’s stylish, and even within its simplicity, the pink version has a subtle black accent inside, which I really like.”
