i GO Co., Ltd. has developed an innovative English learning method that combines typing and English: ActiMethod. Children's English classrooms under the ActiMethod brand are opening one after another nationwide, and as of December 2025, the number of operating schools has exceeded 100. Further openings are planned across the country!

Changing English Education

More than three years have passed since English became a formal subject in elementary schools, and English education for elementary school students has become established nationwide.

The English curriculum guidelines changed significantly from the 2020 academic year for elementary schools and from 2021 for junior high schools. Currently, 5th and 6th graders have two 70-minute English lessons per week, and English is now a graded subject to balance the four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Now that it is a subject, the curriculum has been expanded to five areas across the four skills, aligning with junior high school level English. The goal is to develop the foundational qualities and abilities for communication, which is almost identical to the previous junior high school curriculum guidelines.

This means that the level of English learned in elementary school has risen sharply and become more difficult.

Furthermore, the implementation grade for foreign language activities (English) has been moved forward, starting from 3rd and 4th graders.

Additionally, the number of English words to memorize in junior high school has increased from 1,200 to 1,600–1,800.

Junior high schools are aiming for all-English instruction.

Especially in elementary schools, not only English but also programming has become a compulsory subject, greatly changing the learning environment for elementary school students.

Moreover, from the 2024 university entrance exams (administered in January 2025), exams will conform to the new curriculum guidelines.

Now is the Time for ActiMethod’s Typing English Learning

ActiMethod's strength is its ability to input large amounts of English words in a short time, and all conventional English writing is done via typing.

Students type English words on a keyboard to build vocabulary. Audio plays while typing, allowing them to learn spelling along with correct pronunciation.

Once accustomed to practicing English through typing, students can type 5 to 10 times faster than writing with a pencil.
