Actimethod Katsutadai School to Open in August 2026!

i GO Co., Ltd. has developed an innovative English learning method that combines typing and English, called Actimethod. Children's English classrooms, 'Actimethod,' are opening one after another nationwide, with the number of operating schools exceeding 100 as of December 2025. Further openings are planned across the country!

In conjunction with the opening of Actimethod Katsutadai School in August 2026, free trial information sessions will be held.

Changes in English Education

More than three years have passed since English became a formal subject in elementary schools, and English education for elementary school students has become established nationwide.

The curriculum guidelines for English learning in elementary and junior high schools changed significantly starting from the 2020 academic year for elementary schools and 2021 for junior high schools. Currently, 5th and 6th graders have two classes per week, totaling 70 hours of English instruction. English has become a graded subject aiming to balance the four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

As a subject, the curriculum now covers four skills and five areas, with a continuous curriculum linked to junior high school level English. The goal is 'development of the qualities and abilities that form the basis for communication,' which is nearly identical to the previous junior high school curriculum guidelines.

This means the level of English learned during elementary school has suddenly increased and become more difficult.

Furthermore, the implementation grade for 'Foreign Language Activities (English)' has been moved forward, starting from 3rd and 4th grades.

Additionally, the number of English words to memorize in junior high school has increased from 1200 to 1600-1800 words, an increase of 400 words.

Junior high schools are aiming for all-English instruction.

Especially in elementary schools, not only English but also programming classes have become compulsory, significantly changing the learning environment for elementary school students.

And from the 2024 university entrance exams (conducted in January 2025), university entrance exams based on the new curriculum guidelines will begin.

Now is the time for Actimethod's Typing English Learning

Actimethod's strength is a learning method that allows massive input of English words in a short time, and all general English 'writing' is done via typing.

Students type English words on a keyboard at hand, developing vocabulary. Since audio plays and they type the word to memorize spelling, they can practice with correct pronunciation.

Once accustomed to practicing English through typing, they can type 5 to 10 times faster than practicing by writing with a pencil.

Hello, I'm Hama, the director of Katsutadai Classroom. I am a mother of three and struggled greatly with English! That's when I encountered Actimethod. At our school, students can acquire 'touch typing (typing skills),' which is increasingly in demand due to the spread of one device per student (GIGA School Initiative) in elementary schools, along with English. So that students won't struggle with English in junior high school! 'English is fun and can be a weapon.' Would you like to acquire 'real English skills' and 'PC skills' that are useful for high school entrance exams and beyond in society, together with us? We hope to support your child's future together.

It's very fun to learn various English words one after another. I can naturally translate Japanese into English, and when I go to the movies, I can roughly understand what the characters are saying in English.
