Changes in English Education
More than three years have passed since English became a compulsory subject in elementary schools, and English education for elementary school students has become established nationwide.
From the 2020 academic year for elementary schools and the 2021 academic year for junior high schools, the English curriculum guidelines have significantly changed. Currently, 5th and 6th graders have two English classes per week, totaling 70 hours, and English has become a graded subject to balance and improve the four skills of "listening," "speaking," "reading," and "writing."
Now that it is a graded subject, the curriculum content is structured around four skills and five domains, with continuity to junior high school level English. The goal is to "develop the qualities and abilities that form the foundation for communication." This is almost the same as the content of the conventional junior high school curriculum guidelines.
This means that the level of English learned by elementary school students has rapidly increased in difficulty.
Furthermore, the implementation year for "Foreign Language Activities (English)" has been moved up, starting from 3rd and 4th grade elementary school.
Also, the number of English words to learn in junior high school has increased by 400 words, from 1200 to 1600-1800 words.
Junior high schools aim for all-English classes.
Especially in elementary schools, not only English but also programming classes have become compulsory, significantly changing the learning environment for elementary school students.
And from the 2024 university entrance exams (implemented in January 2025), university entrance exams based on the new curriculum guidelines will begin.
Now is the Time for ActiMethod's Typing English Learning
ActiMethod's strength lies in its learning method for inputting a large number of English words in a short time, and all general English "writing" is done by typing.
Students type English words on a keyboard to develop their vocabulary. Since audio plays and students type English words to learn spelling, practice with correct pronunciation is possible.
Once accustomed to practicing English by typing, students can type 5 to 10 times faster than writing with a pencil.

Message from the School Director
Nice to meet you! I'm Myoga, the school director of Kasuga School. I also work as a practicing nurse and realize the importance of "efficient acquisition" from my daily work. At our school, we guide students to develop "usable English skills" through typing, based on correct pronunciation and rhythm. The characteristic is that students can concentrate on English itself with overwhelming efficiency, without spending time on writing. We will support your child to maximize their potential!

[6th Grader Student] I can understand the meaning of English in movies!
It's so much fun to learn various English words one after another. I've become able to naturally translate Japanese into English, and when I go to see a movie, I can generally understand the meaning of the English spoken by the characters.
[Kindergartener, 3rd Grader, 6th Grader Parent] English skills improved enough to win awards at national competitions!
A friend introduced me to a place where I could learn both English and typing, so I went for a trial enrollment. My child was very excited.
