Goldwin Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Takaoki Watanabe) will launch the "Goldwin Repair Club," a repair program for the general public, starting May 2026. This program aims to reduce clothing waste and establish a culture of "repairing and wearing longer," targeting not only its own products but also apparel from other brands. The first event will be held for two days on May 16 (Saturday) and 17 (Sunday), 2026, at the event space on the 1st floor of Goldwin's Tokyo Headquarters (Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo).

The company has been engaged in repair services since 1979, handling approximately 18,000 repairs in fiscal year 2025. Through this program, participants will experience repairing clothes themselves, expanding the option of "repairing and wearing longer" instead of "discarding when broken."

Participants can experience self-repair, mending their clothes with the support of our staff who have knowledge of sewing and heat-sealing repair. They can also join workshops utilizing leftover fabric (remnants) generated during the manufacturing process.

Following the initial event, regular events are planned for the future, with an eye towards expanding partnerships with local communities, schools, and businesses.

Historically, Goldwin has been committed to "extending product lifespans" through design that considers product durability and maintainability, as well as through repair, maintenance, and reuse initiatives. Specifically, to ensure that sports and outdoor products, which are subject to harsh conditions, can be used for a long time, we have maintained a repair system for many years. The "Goldwin Repair Club" starting this time is an initiative offered in a way that allows the general public to experience it.

Meanwhile, according to estimates by the Ministry of the Environment, approximately 485,000 tons of clothing discarded by households in Japan in 2024 were disposed of as combustible or non-combustible waste (※1). Repairing clothes and wearing them longer leads to a reduction in waste. Through this program, Goldwin aims to broaden options beyond "buying and being done with it" and create an opportunity for behavioral change towards reducing clothing waste.

### Features of "Goldwin Repair Club"

1. Participants can experience repair themselves

In this program, participants can repair their own clothes they bring, with the support of Goldwin staff. Utilizing fabric scraps and repair parts, they can mend holes and tears using methods such as machine sewing or heat-sealing, depending on the condition. This program is designed not just to restore clothes to their original state, but to allow participants to renew their affection for their garments by working on them, experiencing the value of wearing them longer.

2. Not limited to our own products, but also covers clothes from other brands

The program targets not only Goldwin's own products but also apparel from other brands. By making it possible for people to bring in clothes they wear daily, regardless of brand, we aim to provide repair options to a wider audience.

※Please note that some materials, damage conditions, or specifications may not be eligible for repair.

※We do not guarantee functional recovery or a finish identical to new products.

3. Experience resource circulation through workshops utilizing leftover fabric

Through workshops utilizing leftover fabric (remnants) generated during the manufacturing process, we provide an opportunity to experience the perspective of using materials efficiently and fostering creativity. This program goes beyond simple repair, offering a tangible experience of resource circulation.

※Details will be announced sequentially on the special website below.

4. Partnerships with local communities, schools, and businesses through regular events

Regular events are planned for the future. Eventually, starting from Aoyama, Tokyo, we envision developing opportunities for learning and dialogue about sustainable lifestyles through collaborations with local communities, schools, and businesses.
