THE NORTH FACE Opens "THE NORTH FACE FOOTWEAR SHINSAIBASHI," the World's First Concept Shop Focused on Footwear in Shinsaibashi

Goldwin Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo / Representative Director, President and CEO: Takao Watanabe) will open "THE NORTH FACE FOOTWEAR SHINSAIBASHI," the brand's world-first concept shop specializing in footwear, on the 4th floor of the new commercial facility "QUARTZ SHINSAIBASHI" (Chuo-ku, Osaka) on April 25, 2026 (Saturday), the same day the facility opens.

"THE NORTH FACE FOOTWEAR SHINSAIBASHI" adopts the store concept "Evolve in Motion" — Progress lives in every step —. This embodies the desire to cherish the "evolution of steps" born from the connection of nature, tools, regions, and people, and to support the steps of those who challenge themselves. The store's layout is designed to allow visitors to experience the brand's stance of aiming for co-evolution between people and gear in an ever-changing natural environment, through products and experiences.

As an experiential content, the store will permanently feature "SIDAS FEET BOX EVO," a 3D scanning device handled by SIDAS JAPAN Co., Ltd., capable of precise foot measurement. This device visualizes current issues such as left-right differences and foot habits. Staff with shoe fitter qualifications will be on-site to propose footwear tailored to each individual's lifestyle.

Furthermore, the "Resole Service," utilizing outsoles provided by Vibram Japan Co., Ltd., allows customers to replace worn-out outsoles with one of nine types of Vibram Soles (at the time of store opening), known for their excellent grip and durability. This ability to replace soles with preferred ones allows customers to enjoy their original footwear for a long time, making it a sustainability-conscious content that realizes the long product life that our company focuses on.

In its medium-term five-year management plan announced in July 2024, Goldwin anticipates approximately 30 billion yen in sales growth for THE NORTH FACE over five periods. Key points for this growth potential include "strengthening footwear development and creating new markets," with a focus on "investment in trail running shoe development" and "creating a lifestyle market linked to apparel and gear." The company aims to increase sales in the footwear category by 4 billion yen by the fiscal year ending March 2029, with the "VECTIV" collection, which is expanding its use from trail running to road running, as its core product.

This new store opening in Shinsaibashi, one of the leading footwear battlegrounds in the Kansai area, aims to capture the expanding inbound demand while offering a new brand experience for THE NORTH FACE, primarily centered on footwear.
