avatarin Inc. (CEO: Akira Fukabori), a startup originating from ANA Holdings, announces the results of a demonstration experiment conducted from October to December 2025, utilizing next-generation communication technology including local 5G and avatar technology for remote municipal services. This project was supported by Campus Create Co., Ltd., which was selected as a development promoter for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's 'Tokyo NEXT 5G Boosters Project.' The experiment was conducted in cooperation with Altius Link, Inc., and the field providers, Ota City and Arakawa City. In municipal window services, labor shortages due to population decline and the internationalization of residents are major challenges. This experiment confirmed the effectiveness of 'remote municipal services' from a single hub by combining local 5G (high capacity, low latency, simultaneous connection) with the 'newme' avatar robot, which enables proactive service provision. We also verified the operational structure, including external operators, with the cooperation of Altius Link. The experiment was conducted in two phases, with the latter phase confirming the possibility of cross-municipal remote services, a first in Japan. During the 42-day period, 1,470 interactions were recorded with a 96.9% success rate and high user satisfaction. Moving forward, we plan to develop 'Government Service AI' to automate routine tasks, aiming for a hybrid model where AI handles initial responses and humans handle complex consultations.
