Able Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "Able") held the awards ceremony "Able presents Snow Athletes of the year 2025-2026" to commend and present awards to athletes belonging to the Ski Association of Japan (hereinafter "SAJ") on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Able's headquarters in Akasaka, Tokyo.

Since 2016, Able has been an official sponsor of SAJ, supporting the promotion of snow sports and the activities of its athletes. In the 2025-2026 season, marking the 10th year since the start of support, the remarkable achievements of athletes active on the world stage have brought much inspiration, courage, and vitality to Japan.

This ceremony was held with the aim of conveying "praise (congratulations) and gratitude (thank you)" to these athletes as a partner walking alongside them.

14 athletes were selected for the awards based on Able's unique selection criteria. In addition to their excellent results in the 2025-2026 season, athletes who received comments from many employees such as "their earnest challenging spirit gave us courage" were chosen. Among them, Tomoka Takeuchi (Snowboard Alpine), who has led Japan's snow sports world for many years, received an award with special merit in recognition of her significant achievements.

The ceremony was held in two parts: the first part was the awards ceremony by Able, and the second part was the certificate of appreciation presentation ceremony by the "Able Cultural Foundation." This foundation has been providing sports grants since fiscal year 2024 with the aim of contributing to the development of sports in Japan through supporting athletes active in international competitions. This time, Ryooma Kimata (Snowboard Slopestyle/Big Air, 2025 grant recipient) and Teikatsu Hasegawa (Snowboard Slopestyle/Big Air, 2024 grant recipient) were presented with certificates of appreciation and supplementary prizes.

In the latter half of the first part, a talk session was held with Hiroyasu Shimizu, who himself achieved brilliant results as an athlete and now serves as a selection committee member for the foundation's sports grant program, as the interviewer. Episodes about the athletes' "life-sized charm" and daily lives, freed from the tension of competition, were shared, and the venue was filled with warm applause and smiles.
