A live reading was performed by Nakamura and Motomura. Sankaku revealed the manga originated when his editor said, "We want to see a manga only you can draw." He based the main character on his first-grade daughter, calling it "almost like an essay," and shared his unique approach: "When you model characters after real people in weekly serialization, they start moving on their own."
