Fans Select Kazunori Takizawa's 'Suuankou' as the Most Memorable Yakuman of the M League 2025-26 Season at Closing Ceremony

The new future of television, 'ABEMA', has announced the results of the 'Most Memorable Yakuman of the 2025-26 Season' poll, conducted among fans attending the closing ceremony of the professional mahjong league 'M League' on Friday, May 15, 2026. The ceremony marked the final day of the 2025-26 season, which ABEMA broadcast live in its entirety on its 'Mahjong Channel'.

The 'M League' is a team-based professional mahjong league established to promote mahjong as a professional sport, where top professionals from each team compete for the championship.

In the 'M League 2025-26 Season' (hereafter '2025-26 Season'), which kicked off on Monday, September 15, 2025, all 10 teams fought through a long regular season, semi-final series, and final series. EX Furinkazan claimed their second championship, their first since the 2020-21 season.

This project involved a vote by the audience who watched the winning team decided at the closing ceremony, asking them to choose the 'Most Memorable Yakuman' from the many great moments of the '2025-26 Season'.

This season once again saw memorable Yakumans, ranging from dramatic winning hands that completely changed the flow of the game to crucial strikes that determined a team's fate. Among them, first place in the ranking went to Kazunori Takizawa of KONAMI Mahjong Fight Club for his 'Suuankou'. Since Takizawa's Suuankou was a massive win that secured his team's advancement to the finals, it was deeply etched into the memories of many fans as an iconic scene of the '2025-26 Season', garnering overwhelming support.

Following closely in second place was Shingo Hori of KADOKAWA Sakura Knights with 'Shousuushii', and in third place was Geki Shimoishi of BEAST X with 'Daisangen'. All of these high-difficulty and highly impactful hands ranked at the top, making the results memorable not only for the fans of each team but for mahjong fans in general.
