'ABEMA', the new future television, began streaming episode #2 of 'Higashide Masahiro's Camping Detox' (produced by Asahi Broadcasting Corporation) from 0:30 AM on Monday, May 11, 2026.
'Higashide Masahiro's Camping Detox' is a program where actor Masahiro Higashide, who moved to the mountains five years ago, away from the urban hustle and bustle, invites celebrities living in the demanding city to his campsite for a 2-day, 1-night camping experience. The show depicts the entirety of their realistic camping life, including breathtaking scenery after several hours of climbing steep mountain paths to reach the campsite, and spending the night outdoors. It is presented as a 'camping human documentary' aiming for mental detox for the guests in the great outdoors.
For the first two episodes (#1, #2) of this 6-part series, including ABEMA original episodes, Wolf Aaron from New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Fuwa-chan from Stardom appeared as guests.
Fuwa-chan Confesses Struggles with Pro Wrestling Challenge: 'It's Always Seen as Penance'
She reflected on her past self: 'I was only taking the good parts.'
Fuwa-chan, who volunteered to fetch water at the campsite, exclaimed, 'It's amazing how you just turn a tap and water comes out, but here you go down the mountain to fetch it and climb back up.' While carrying the water, she prefaced, 'I really don't want to say this, and it might be too late to realize it after turning 30,' and then confessed, 'I used to just go to the set, do only the fun parts, and say 'Otsukaresama deshita!' (Good work!)—I was always taking the good parts. But camping isn't just fun; you carry heavy luggage and move thoughtfully on your own. The joy you grasp after enduring hardships shines brighter, and I realized that's what youth is all about.' She revealed her feelings while looking back at her past.
Furthermore, during a late-night drink around a bonfire, triggered by Wolf Aaron's comment, 'I never thought Fuwa-chan would do pro wrestling,' she revealed her true feelings about challenging pro wrestling. 'I genuinely wanted to do it as a dream, but there's always the thought that it might be seen as 'penance'...' she confessed, expressing her conflict over how the public perceives her. She also revealed that seeing Wolf Aaron's efforts as a pro wrestler, saying, 'I saw Wolf starting (pro wrestling) saying it was his dream...', pushed her. She expressed her passionate feelings: 'The moment I thought, 'Oh, I want to do this!' and started putting in effort, it felt incredibly bright, like a sparkle. I love and enjoy pushing forward towards a goal every day.'

Wolf Aaron Criticizes Modern Society: 'It's Strange to Be Out If You Make One Mistake'
As the night deepened and the conversation became more profound, Higashide asked Fuwa-chan, 'When you took a hiatus, weren't you anxious?' which led the discussion to the difficulty of living in modern society. Wolf Aaron criticized, 'Humans are supposed to make mistakes repeatedly throughout life, but society has become one where if you make one mistake, you're out. If that happens, there's no room for rehabilitation, no opportunity to learn.' He strongly questioned the prevailing attitude that doesn't allow for a single failure, stating, 'Everyone makes mistakes, realizes they're wrong, and grows from them, so isn't it strange to say, 'You're out. There's no future for you' after just one incident?'

Masahiro Higashide Reveals Anguish During Hiatus: 'There Was a Phase of Collecting Reasons Not to Die'
Responding to Wolf Aaron's words, Higashide also recalled his past. He spoke, 'When I was on hiatus, or during scandals, even if I wanted to work hard, there was no work, nothing, so it was difficult to find a next goal to strive for...' He continued, revealing his desperate state of mind at the time: 'It wasn't about finding positive things I wanted to do for myself, but rather 'collecting reasons not to die'.' Higashide recounted, 'There was a phase where I gathered reasons not to die, like 'If I do this, that person will be sad,' or 'If I die, they'll be sad, my children will be sad'.' He then expressed, 'I wanted to live... not being able to want to live is painful. I think it must be tough for people who can't feel that they want to live.' It was a night in the great outdoors, far from the city, where their true feelings and unadorned selves were glimpsed.
