Unveiling the Birth of VIBY, an All-Teen Japanese Boy Group: ABEMA's 'VIBY 1329 The night before debut' #2 Holds Advance Screening with 200 Fan Club Members!

New Future TV "ABEMA" will broadcast "VIBY 1329 The night before debut" #2, a documentary program following the trajectory of the boy group "VIBY", which is born from the new label "Rii.MJ" founded by KIM MI JEONG, who has been involved in discovering and developing global stars such as BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. The broadcast will be on May 6, 2026 (Wednesday/Holiday) at 10 PM. Prior to the broadcast, an advance screening exclusively for fan club members "TOMO" was held in Tokyo, attended by approximately 200 fans.

When asked about their enthusiasm before the event, the members commented, "We are really looking forward to meeting only TOMO and VIBY members, and we are a little nervous. Also, we are excited to see their reactions to our new song 'HANAMARU' and the advance public release of the ABEMA program." Another member added, "This is a different distance from the fans compared to being on stage; we haven't been able to meet at such a close distance before, so we're a mix of nervous and excited."

■ Question Corner with 200 Fans

After the advance screening, as VIBY members themselves appeared, the fans in the venue erupted in screams of joy. After brief self-introductions from the members, a Q&A session with questions from fans was held.

In response to the question, "Are there any surprising true natures of the members you discovered through living together?", RYOHA commented, "AKITO's sleeping posture. A normal bed is rectangular, right? But AKITO sleeps curled up only on the bottom part of the bed, not using the top part at all. That was surprising." AKITO replied, "I just end up like that without realizing it (laughs)," filling the venue with laughter.

KOTARO also commented on AKITO, saying, "He's interested in beauty and seems perfect, but I also learned that he has an unexpected side where he easily gets bored, so he's not just perfect."

To the question, "What do you all respect about each other, and what are you most confident in yourselves?", RENKI commented, "I respect IO's excellent cooking skills!" IO responded to RENKI, "His incredible concentration!" and revealed his hardworking side, saying, "He keeps working hard until the very end, even when everyone else is thinking of going home." Furthermore, RYOHA also expressed respect for RENKI's concentration, saying, "I'm not good at maintaining concentration, so I always think he's amazing."

Regarding the question, "You must have had many difficult times during the 1329 days of training in Korea until your debut. Please tell us about any fun or heartwarming episodes with the members that made you laugh during that time.", KOTARO replied that he was happy that they had their own songs when he went to karaoke with RYOHA and RENKI. When asked about their score, he replied, "That's a secret!" which brought laughter. When asked for other episodes, he said, "Speaking of funny things that happened in Korea, it was when a bug appeared in the dorm. We all screamed and ran around on tiptoes (laughs). That chaotic time is now a fun memory."

In response to the question, "What was the most difficult moment during the period leading up to your debut, and how did you overcome it?", AKITO replied, "I tried hard by planning fun things for the near future, like doing a lot of what I like on my days off, or going to watch a movie with everyone after practice."

RENKI commented, "(Since I had no dance experience) it was tough not being able to dance at all in the first lessons. But I had confidence in my patience and not giving up because I did kickboxing. I think it was good that I saw the other trainees as rivals and worked hard towards that."

When asked, "What do you want to do with TOMO in your future activities?", IO commented, "I want to think of VIBY's greeting and call-and-response during songs together!" Each of the members also said they would be happy to have many live performances in their hometowns.

Finally, regarding the question, "A big stage like Budokan awaits you, what kind of stage do you want it to be? And please tell us any messages or feelings you want to convey to TOMO!", IO said, "A big stage like Budokan awaits us. We may still lack skills, but we want to succeed together with everyone. We want to create something only we can do."
