"Oshi no Ko" is a popular work based on the manga by Aka Akasaka (story) and Mengo Yokoyari (art), which was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) and has surpassed 25 million copies in the global series (including digital). The story begins with Goro, a gynecologist working in a regional city, who is reincarnated as the child of his "oshi" (favorite) idol, Ai. The series depicts the mystery surrounding Ai's sudden death, Aqua's quest for revenge, and the behind-the-scenes reality of the entertainment industry. The TV anime's first season was released in April 2023, and the second season in July 2024. With its novel setting in the entertainment world and shocking plot developments, it became a major topic of conversation, dominating social media trends. The third season, which began streaming in January 2026, also garnered significant attention.

Nagano Prefecture resulted as the prefecture where each person watched "Oshi no Ko" the most on ABEMA between January and March 2026. Among the top five prefectures, some face discrepancies in the broadcast timing of the latest anime episodes compared to Tokyo due to having fewer commercial broadcast stations.

In such circumstances, ABEMA has provided the third season of "Oshi no Ko" for free, exclusively and at the fastest speed, simultaneously with terrestrial broadcasts every Wednesday at 11:00 PM. Furthermore, throughout the distribution period of the third season, we have offered all episodes from the first season through the latest episode of the third season for free. The final episode of the third season, streamed on Wednesday, March 25, is available for free catch-up viewing for one week after the broadcast. We will continue to provide the unique ABEMA experience, allowing viewers to watch the latest episodes for free, anywhere in the country, simultaneously with terrestrial broadcasts, regardless of local broadcasting environments.
