ABEMA will host a special project featuring free, back-to-back broadcasts of seven legendary anime series that premiered in 2006.
The "new future TV" ABEMA will launch a special project, "Our Sanctuary, Unchanged for 20 Years - Let's Celebrate Anniversary Anime on ABEMA," starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026, featuring iconic anime series celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2026.
The year 2006 saw the birth of legendary titles that are still talked about today, including "Reborn!," "Ouran High School Host Club," "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion," "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," "Gintama," "Higurashi When They Cry," and "DEATH NOTE." From battle action and school comedies to youth dramas, mysteries, and gags, these series captured the hearts of many fans with their diverse worlds and compelling characters, and they continue to enjoy unwavering support to this day.
In this project, these seven titles will be broadcast for free in succession over approximately one month, from April 1 (Wed) to April 26 (Sun). We are delivering a special lineup that allows you to relive the excitement and thrills of those days on this 20th-anniversary milestone.
