New Type Added to Popular Curved Wall Covering "Tambour®"

ABC Trading Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeki Higashikawa), a company engaged in the development, manufacturing, import, and sales of building materials, added a new "V-groove" type to its Tambour curved wall covering on April 1st.

"Tambour" is a wall covering that can be installed on both flat and curved surfaces. It features a rhythmic cross-sectional shape with natural wood veneer applied to the base material, expressing the texture of natural wood in three dimensions. In addition to being used on the sides of curved counters, the fire-retardant certified type can also be installed on entire wall surfaces and is widely adopted in hotels, offices, reception areas, and more.

The newly added "V-groove" type is almost identical in shape to the popular fire-retardant type and is available in a non-fire-retardant version with a lineup of three colors. This shape allows the wood grain to continue uninterrupted to the slit, even on curved surfaces, achieving a seamless and beautiful finish. The deep shadows created by the approximately 6mm slits bring a dynamic expression and a sense of luxury to the space, demonstrating high design quality as a finishing material for wainscoting and counter sides.

Our company aims for sales of 100 million yen within three years for this product series and will continue to propose it for all public facilities, commercial facilities, stores, accommodation facilities, residential facilities, and more.
