Qiita, one of Japan's largest engineer communities, to host an offline talk event for users: "Qiita Bash: AI Utilization Bridging Engineering and Design"!

Qiita Inc. (Headquarters: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya; President: Kensuke Shibata)—a group company of Ateam Holdings Inc., which develops diverse IT services through creativity and technical prowess, and the operator of "Qiita," a service for recording and sharing engineering knowledge—will hold "Qiita Bash: AI Utilization Bridging Engineering and Design" on Tuesday, April 28, 2025. This offline talk event is designed for sharing technical insights. The event will feature lightning talks (LTs) and networking, providing a space for attendees and speakers to connect, exchange information, and ask questions.

What is "Qiita Bash"? "Qiita Bash" is an offline talk event where a theme is set for each session to share technical insights. We invite individuals with deep knowledge of the theme, primarily from the Qiita user base, and provide two main components: lightning talks (LTs) and networking.

We hope this event will serve as an opportunity for attendees and speakers to connect and provide a space for casual information exchange and Q&A. We encourage you to participate as a way to deepen your knowledge of topics you are interested in and as a catalyst for output.

We are also currently seeking corporate sponsors for future events.

*LT (Lightning Talk) refers to a short presentation of about 5 minutes given at study sessions, events, or conferences.

Background of "Qiita Bash" - To create new opportunities for Qiita users to output content. - To create opportunities for users to connect with one another. - To hold events regularly that meet user needs.

Some Qiita users have received requests to write books or have spoken at large-scale conferences as a result of their activities on Qiita. As a company, we want to help expand the stage for those who actively use Qiita and assist in establishing their identity as engineers, which led to the creation of "Qiita Bash."

Furthermore, we hope that by using this event as a starting point, communication among participants will emerge, leading to new changes such as the sharing of mutual knowledge and the building of professional networks.

Moving forward, we plan to hold events regularly and in a timely manner that align with user interests and concerns, while also considering the needs of engineers, article posts on Qiita, tags, and trends.

This Event's Theme The theme for this Qiita Bash is "AI Utilization Bridging Engineering and Design."

With the advent of AI, the boundaries between engineering and design are beginning to dissolve.

Engineers who write code are generating UIs, and designers are converting prototypes into code—such "cross-border" activities are becoming a daily occurrence in development environments.

Tools are evolving at an incredible speed, including Figma code output, automatic application of design tokens via AI, and component generation using natural language.

However, the practical, real-world knowledge of how to master these in actual projects and where engineers and designers should collaborate has not yet been sufficiently shared.

Therefore, for this Qiita Bash, we are gathering people who are attempting to bridge engineering and design while actually using AI to hold an LT event where they can discuss their on-the-ground ingenuity, failures, and discoveries!
