Changes in the Educational Environment Surrounding Children: "National Policy: Regional Deployment of Club Activities" The "Comprehensive Guidelines for the Promotion of Club Activity Reform and Regional Club Activities" formulated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) designate the six-year period from FY2026 to FY2031 as the "Reform Implementation Period" and indicate a policy to aim for regional deployment of club activities on holidays in all schools in principle. Municipalities nationwide are required to address multifaceted challenges such as securing instructors, increasing operational tasks, and securing financial resources.
