A&B Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Jun Noda), which operates the world's only kids' park themed around Eric Carle's picture books, "PLAY! PARK ERIC CARLE (Play Park Eric Carle)", is holding an experiential event titled "The Very Hungry Caterpillar's Summer Vacation!" from July 4th (Sat) to August 31st (Mon), 2026. The event aims to foster children's interest in nature and living things while providing an opportunity for parents and children to enjoy art and sports together.

During the event period, eight special workshops themed around summer nature and living things, based on Eric Carle's works, will be held on a daily rotation. Additionally, the "Green Maze" within the park will feature variously shaped clouds from the picture book "The Tiny Cloud," allowing visitors to experience as if they have entered the world of the book.

1. PLAY! Hand ART! ~Pineapple~

This workshop allows participants to complete an art piece by pressing handprints and footprints onto part of Eric Carle's illustrations. During the event period, the workshop will feature a summer-themed "Pineapple" illustration. Participants of all ages can join, allowing them to capture memories of growth and family moments.

2. PLAY! SPORTS! BABY! ~Let's Play in the Sea~

Parents and children can move their bodies together using colorful balls of various sizes, such as beach balls and watermelon balls. In the Discovery Zone where sea creatures gather, they can enjoy playing with balls in a summer-like atmosphere.

3. Candy Art ~The Tiny Cloud~

Participants will create original candy using "clouds" from the picture book "The Tiny Cloud" as a motif. They will knead warm candy and shape it while imagining clouds floating in the summer sky.

4. Seasonal Hide and Seek

This workshop involves parents and children working together to find stag beetles hidden within the park. As they search, they will explore various parts of the park. If they find all of them, they will receive an original sticker as a prize.

5. Let's Make a Tiny Cloud

This craft workshop is themed around the picture book "The Tiny Cloud." Participants will cut cotton sheets into their favorite shapes to create their own "clouds." The created "clouds" can be tied to a stick with string and played with by throwing them in the air.

6. PLAY! Finger ART! ~Firefly~

Participants will use glow-in-the-dark paint to draw light with their fingers on the illustration of "fireflies" from the picture book "The Lonely Firefly." They can enjoy the difference in visibility in a dark space, just like real fireflies that glow at night.

7. The Very Hungry Quiz!

Parents and children can challenge themselves with a true or false quiz about creatures, nature, and colors that Eric Carle loved. They will aim for a perfect score by relying on hints hidden in the picture books and the park.

8. Let's Decorate a Hermit Crab's House

This workshop is based on the story of the picture book "The Hermit Crab's Moving Day." Participants will create collages using colorful paper "PLAY! PAPER" to decorate the "house" that the hermit crab carries on its back.
