"KOKUNEKO" Cat-Themed Sweets with Rich Brown Sugar and Butter to Launch First National Pop-up Event at Hankyu Umeda Main Store Starting April 29

Tsukumo Island Group Co., Ltd. (President: Ryoichi Sakamoto, Fukuoka Office: 3-13-6 Nanotsu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City) will open a limited-time KOKUNEKO pop-up store at Hankyu Umeda Main Store from Wednesday, April 29 to Tuesday, May 5.

KOKUNEKO: Sweets with a double richness of brown sugar and butter. Based in 'Hakata Deitos' within JR Hakata Station, KOKUNEKO specializes in 'Koku-Uma' (rich and delicious) sweets that combine the deep sweetness of brown sugar with the fragrant richness of butter. This event marks the brand's first venture outside Hakata for a national pop-up at Hankyu Umeda Main Store.

The new 'Kokuma Langue de Chat' will be sold at this event. The dough is made with brown sugar and grass-fed butter (*1), baked lightly, and sandwiched with butter-flavored chocolate (*2). The gentle sweetness of brown sugar and the depth of butter create a multi-layered flavor. The cookies feature adorable designs like cats and paw prints on the surface.

Other items include the signature paw-shaped 'Kokuma Financier' and 'Kokuma Tuile' with almond texture. We look forward to your visit.
