Borderlands 4 Story Pack 1 'Mad Ellie and the Abominable Vault' Now Available!

2K and Gearbox Software have released Story Pack 1 for Borderlands® 4, titled "Mad Ellie and the Abominable Vault." This paid DLC features a new Vault Hunter, "C4SH," as well as new areas, missions, activities, enemies, and loot.*

In parallel with the release of Story Pack 1, a major update (currently in English, with Japanese support to follow) has been implemented for all players. This update introduces cross-character progression sharing and raises the Vault Hunter level cap from 50 to 60. Players can now share map and activity progress, SDU tokens, hover-drives, and customization items with new Vault Hunters (including C4SH) created on the same account.

Uncover the Secrets of the Whispering Glacier An evil cosmic presence threatens Kairos, and madness drifts through the freezing winds. Team up with Mad Moxxi's daughter, the fearless and skilled mechanic Ellie, to destroy alien monoliths and challenge the cursed "Abominable Vault." Guided by the returning eccentric Mancubus Bloodtooth, players will explore the "Whispering Glacier," an icy landscape scattered with the wreckage of decaying spaceships and dark secrets.

Players who own Story Pack 1 can also start "Mad Ellie and the Abominable Vault" directly with a new level 13 Vault Hunter using shared progression from other characters.

New Vault Hunter: C4SH the Rogue Players can now play as C4SH, the first of two planned additional Vault Hunters for Borderlands 4. C4SH is a casino bot who gained a new lease on life after winning a high-stakes card game, earning a magical deck that grants mysterious powers.

Defeat Powerful Enemies and Claim Valuable Loot Story Pack 1 features various challenges throughout the Whispering Glacier, including two major boss battles and 16 mini-boss encounters. To reach the bosses, players must defeat numerous powerful enemies, including Dahl forces that abandoned their posts on Elpis to run wild on Kairos, Kraggons, and Scavs.
