Icebreaker Research Lab be♭ Develops Bag Charm "Tacchon" Playable by Holding Up a Smartphone; Trial Experience Event to be Held in Shibuya July 10-12

be♭ (be-flat), an icebreaker research lab operating at "100BANCH," a future creation hub that collaborates with the younger generation to create new value under the concept of "an experimental zone to enrich the world 100 years from now," has developed "Tacchon," a new game playable with a bag charm incorporating an NFC chip. The product will be exhibited at "Nananana Festival 2026 Shibuya Future Expo," to be held at Shibuya 100BANCH from July 7 and 10-12, as a venue for a preview experience of the product. An arcade game to experience "Tacchon" and the charm itself, which will be available for pre-order, will be on display.

Product Overview

This product is a bag charm that allows users to easily start a game anytime, anywhere, such as when gathering with friends at cafes or izakayas.

With "Tacchon," simply holding up a smartphone to the bag charm launches a web app, allowing users to enjoy the game on the spot. No dedicated app download or prior preparation is required; users can play just by attaching it to their bag and carrying it around.

be♭ has previously developed the MelTOY series of bag charms that allow for party games. While previously only offering a "card type" containing card games, they have now added an "NFC type." "Tacchon" is the first product in this new series. This product, which fuses analog and digital, is positioned as a flagship item of the series that can liven up any gathering of friends.

The newly produced MelTOY "Tacchon" will begin EC pre-orders in August 2026.

Preview Event

be♭ will exhibit at "Nananana Festival 2026 Shibuya Future Expo," to be held in Shibuya in July 2026, as a venue for the preview experience of "Tacchon."

This annual event, hosted by 100BANCH, will be held for four days from July 7 (Tue), 10 (Fri) - 12 (Sun), 2026, at 100BANCH & Shibuya River Street (Organizer: 100BANCH Nananana Festival Executive Committee / General Incorporated Association Hyakubanchi).

At the be♭ booth, an arcade game will be exhibited allowing visitors to experience the gameplay of "Tacchon" firsthand, and the bag charm itself will also be unveiled. Furthermore, a review of be♭'s activities to date is scheduled to be introduced.

Project Overview

be♭ is a creative team that develops products that foster communication, with the motto: "To provide icebreaker experiences that liven up time with friends."

Their flagship product is the MelTOY series. With the concept of "a bag charm that lets you have fun together," they have produced products containing card party games. At "Game Market 2026 Spring" in May 2026, where they exhibited for the first time as a sales event for the series, they sold all 50 units planned for sale on the first day.

They plan to continue producing and selling both card and NFC types in the future.
