This re-issuance comes in response to numerous requests.Enjoy the summer pilgrimage with hydrangeasWithin the precincts of Sakatsura Isosaki Shrine, hydrangeas are typically in full bloom from mid-June to mid-July each year. In particular, on both sides of the "Torii Gate overlooking the sea," which offers a panoramic view of the ocean, colorful hydrangeas in shades of pink, blue-purple, and light blue bloom, creating a cool and fantastical scenery. About 10 years ago, hydrangea seedlings were planted with the cooperation of a local gardening company to create a new attraction in the region. Now, after 10 years, magnificent flowers are blooming throughout the shrine grounds, attracting many visitors from both within and outside the prefecture to witness the sight.There are over 200 hydrangea plants in total, with potted hydrangeas also placed in various locations within the precincts, such as in front of the main hall and near the "Lucky Turtle" stone statue. If the weather is good, you can also enjoy the scenery of the port town, including the curving coastline, sandy beaches, and a thermal power plant.
