22 Tokyo Metropolitan Technical High Schools Unite for 'Metropolitan Technical High School Dream Festa 2026'

The Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education will host the experiential event 'Metropolitan Technical High School Dream Festa 2026' on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Triangle Plaza and Sumitomo Hall of the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building (Shinjuku City, Tokyo). This event will allow visitors to experience the appeal of manufacturing and digital technology through student-made project exhibitions, live demonstrations, and hands-on experiences with cutting-edge technologies such as drones, robots, and VR/AR welding, as well as direct interactions with current students.

In addition, the event will feature diverse content such as programs showcasing each school’s unique academic programs and school life, stage presentations by students, and special guest appearances.

The event aims to promote awareness of technical high school education and its unique appeal to elementary and middle school students, parents, and educators who are interested in manufacturing and digital technology.

## ■Highlight 4: Stage Events Starring Current Technical High School Students

On the main stage, technical high school students will present their schools’ unique features and academic strengths. They will also host 'Our Technical High School Life Talks,' sharing authentic stories about why they chose technical high school, their daily lives, and their future aspirations. Additionally, the 'Manufacturing Challenge Stage,' hosted by engineers, will feature Tokyo Deputy Governor Manabu Miyasaka as a guest speaker. This program will help attendees experience the joy of making things and understand the diverse career opportunities available through technical high school education. Furthermore, the comedy duo 'Nasunakashi' will appear as special supporters to energize the event.

The event logo and key visual were designed by current students from Tokyo Metropolitan Technical High Schools.

The key visual (left below) was created by Saho Uchida from Tokyo Metropolitan Hachioji Kuwashi High School, and the event logo (right below) was designed by Kiwa Kawanabe from Tokyo Metropolitan Kogei High School. Students have played a central role in the design aspects of this event.
