[Organization Overview]

(1) Machi no Hi Koriyama

A monthly town magazine first published in 2018 to disseminate the appeal of Koriyama City not only within the city but also to other areas and prefectures.

Centered on local writers who know the area well, the magazine features information to help readers rediscover Koriyama and deepen their local love, including traditional culture, events, environment, welfare, health, childcare, and introductions to local NPOs. It also addresses issues hidden in citizens' daily lives, offering suggestions for improvement based on contributions from experts.

(2) Koriyama Mizu to Midori no Annainin no Kai

Established in 2008 (Heisei 20) by graduates of the NPO Fukushima Green Volunteer Guide Training Course.

In addition to providing tourist information on themes such as Koriyama's history, cultural assets, and nature, the group sets up tour courses on topics like the Asaka Reclamation Project, which formed the foundation of Koriyama's development, and conducts volunteer guiding.

They actively promote local attractions to tourists visiting Koriyama City, and also contribute to regional revitalization by guiding citizens through the trees in familiar parks and streets, conveying the importance of nature and environmental conservation.
