Hamamatsu Companies and Municipalities to Hold Joint Lunch Exchange Event in Tokyo and Kyoto

Entetsu Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Asahi-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City; President: Koji Maruyama) will hold a "Joint Lunch Exchange Event" in Tokyo and Kyoto, targeting students with ties to Hamamatsu who are attending universities in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Kansai region. A total of nine companies and local government organizations from Hamamatsu City will participate. This event will be held for the third consecutive year.

■ Background of the Event

In recent years, an increasing number of students who move to the Kanto and Kansai regions for higher education end up finding employment there, leading to a decline in U-turn employment to Shizuoka Prefecture. This has become a regional issue. There is also the challenge that information about local companies' work content, workplace environments, and life in the region is not sufficiently reaching these students.

■ Purpose of the Event

The event aims to provide a venue in Tokyo and Kyoto where students can experience the appeal of diverse industries at once. By directly conveying the attractiveness of "working in Hamamatsu" and the possibilities of various career paths, the goal is to promote U-turn employment and contribute to regional revitalization.

■ Features of the Event

The event will be held in a standing buffet style, providing a relaxed setting where students and company representatives can casually discuss questions and concerns about job hunting and future careers.

This year, the Tokyo venue will be "HUNGRY CREATORS HOW'z," operated by Shunkado Co., Ltd., a first-time participant in this event. Local ingredients will also be provided.

By using a sophisticated facility run by a local company in Tokyo as the venue, the event aims to create an opportunity for participants to discover a new side of local businesses. The goal is to make the event even more appealing, allowing students living in the Kanto and Kansai regions to "feel the charm of working in the region through local food, space, and interaction with people, using all five senses."
